Possibly, but probably not. What you can't get online is the proper advice you need. Life insurance should be purchased only as part of a complete financial plan under the direction of a properly qualified financial planner or advisor.

You could try. Many insurance companies charge the same either way. Progressive runs television commercials saying that they give a discount for buying online.

Yes you can but it takes time and research. Many of the good insurance people to save money with are called brokers. This means they can search many companies to get you the best rate. Unfortunately they build there cost into it which sometimes pays.

No. Agents don't charge fees, and rates are filed with each state anyway. You don't actually save any money by bypassing the agent.

Maybe, but the odds are that a broker will be able to find you a competitive/ better rate than an online rate. And advice is worth something.
