Insurance

Question: Has anyone had a problem processing/getting a claim paid thru american income life insurance company?

My husband works for a company and when filling out health insurance paperwork, I found a post card type card asking if we would like to receive a child package. Since We just had a child I of course completed that and I had not heard anything since. Anyhow a Rep from the union called and told me he wanted to drop of the info. I thought He was just going to leave/ drop the package of but he gave us a whole speech about Life Insurance…I just want to know if they are a good company or not? I found lots of Negative comments on the web but mostly form ex- employee’s I want to know how Their customers/ Insurer’s feel about them.

The company's fine. I just think child life insurance, on a stand alone policy, is a ripoff. It's generally sold as a savings account, or college plan - but it's not worth anything, unless the child dies. I don't insure my children.
