Landlords rental insurance?
I am hoping to rent my house out through my local estate agent. They tell me I can take insurance out in case a tenant does not pay rent but another estate agent tells me these kind of insurance policies have all kinds of loopholes and I would have to wait until the end of the contract to get paid out by the insurance company anyway. This other estate agent tells me they get a prospective tenant to provide a personal guarantor who is a home owner that way if the tenant ever struggles to pay rent or does a runner the guarantor is liable for payment. Which agent is right and what insurance companies do these kind of policies and at what cost Thanks

Why landlord is asking for a rental insurance?
I am renting an apt in West virginia huntington and been asked by my landlord to provide a mandatory rental insurance before move in date, why is that?as I have never paid that before. Thanks.

What questions should I ask in shopping for apartment rental insurance in Florida?
I want to know that I'll be okay whether it's an act of God like a freak storm dropping a tree through my living room or an act of stupidity like leaving a candle or something and burning down the house . What really worries me is coverage for hurricanes. I don't mind a higher deductible but I hear so much about people who thought they were covered, only to be told they didn't read the hurricane clause carefully enough. I know I would have to purchase flood insurance separately due to zone I live in, but my landlord cannot provide a certificate of elevation which is needed otherwise I have to buy the $3000 year option . I have a feeling a survey would be more expensive than it's worth. So what kind of questions should I ask or what warning signs, etc should I look for?

Is my digital camera covered under rental insurance?
It seems i lost my camera . Not sure if my rental insurance covers that. They use such complicated legal language in the policy that you won't get a clear idea about the coverage. Anyways, are gadgets like these normaly covered under renters insurance?

What are the tenants rights if they have no rental insurance?
I have a tenant at a house that I own. Anyway the water heater exploded and caused 3 feet of water damage. Most of her personal belongings are ruined. She is mad at me cause she feels that I should give her money, cause she didnt have rental insurance. She is acting like a greedy person. There is a new water heater installed. I have house insurance but that doesnt cover her personal belongings. The insurance company has provided a cleaning service that ripped up the carpet and will install new carpet, walls, and anything else that was ruined. Can the tentant sue me for loss of possessions or can she go after the insurance company? If someone knows the WI laws that would be great. I honestly dont think she can come after me for her loss of things. I offered to discount her rent, but she doesnt want to do that. Please help.

Do i need rental insurance if i am going to rent out an apartment to someone else?
i own a restraunt with available rooms above the restraunt itself and i was wondering if i needed to get insturance to rent the apartments out to other people. theres no way to get to the restraunt without going through the front door either, so that wont be a problem

What can I provide for a rental insurance claim for water damage?
I do not have receipts and I do not have video but I do have pictures of the items from various things . Can I use this for my claim? I had pipes freeze and burst and the items were damaged but I threw them out because they were so gross. I didn't think to file a claim til my landlord mentioned it but the items were already picked up by my garbage company. Any suggestions?The rental insurance is in my name. My landlord's insurance is paying for the pipes, plumbing, and heating repairs. My personal property in the storage shed was ruined.

My landlord is asking its residents to add them as a 2nd beneficial on our rental insurance. What does this mean I mean like if something happens to pur property, how would it affect us and them and is it a good idea?

Trying to Find Motorcycle Rental Insurance?
I'm opening a motorcycle rental business. I need someone to insure my motorcycles when they are rented out. I'm in MD. This is a relatively new industry. The only insurance companies I can find, require you to join an association and that association requires one to use their $15,000 liscensing software. I'm not even sure if this is legal, but in the mean time, I need insurance

Penske truck rental: Insurance question.?
Hi, My wife and I are moving from MO to OR and we rented a Penske truck and tow dolly,for the move. I have just checked with my insurance co. and my credit card and they will not be covering the Penske truck and dolly and they all recommend that I purchase coverage from Penske.Ok, so obviously I want insurance, but how much will it cost me? I am assuming Penske will be more costly if they offer their own insurance, but are their any outside companies that offer insurance for these trucks moving commercial type vehicles... something reasonable in cost?If anyone has any info to this regard, I would be very grateful.Thanks
