Question: How much money do you get from bah while you are a full time student using the gi bill? (army)?

I will be leaving the Army in 2 years. I plan on using the GI Bill for the 4 years after that in order to get a college degree. I get E- 5 rate BAH every month as long as I am using the GI Bill and am a full time student, correct? How much money exactly does that entail every month? Thanks!

You will receive BAH W/ DEP for E-5 based on the zip code of the school that you will be attending in two years. military.com has a BAH calculator and if you have some idea where you want to go, you can plug that in. Edit: Oh, and you only get it WHILE classes are in session. No cash money in the summer.

The BAH is based on the zip code of the college you are attending. remember that you only get BAH is you are attending school in the classroom.. online courses do NOT count unfortunately.

I hate posting links but........ gibill101.info/ GI_Bill Site is run by the Military, so all on the up and up. However you have to fill in all the info on 1st page then select schools and stuff on pages 2-4. Once that's all done though it sets you up with all information you might need. Anyways, fill out 1st 4 pages and the military website will answer all the questions. Lois PS Good Luck!
