Question: Is it legal for a car dealership to keep money after requesting a refund on the same day?

You probably have a whole story, but I don't know what it is. If you are asking if you can change your mind after buying a car (or anything else) if the seller is required to agree to cancel the deal. The answer, in most states and countries, is no. Similarly, once you pay and drive away, the dealer cannot come to your house and say he has changed his mind and demand the car back.

Normally the consumer has the right to change their mind within 24 hours after the purchase of the vehicle unless it is stated otherwise in the papers you signed.If it states the money is non refundable then they have the right to keep the money.
