Tools to put in a new home owners tool box?
I have already bought a few tools and a tool box, I want to buy good quality things that will last a long time not something that's going to last a little while and this is what I have already bought A Craftsman 20" toolbox.Stanley 3 piece pliers set 6" long nose pliers, 6" Diagonal cutting pliers, 6" Slip joint pliers Craftsman 8pc. screwdriver set 4 assorted sized of phillips and 4 assorted sized of flat head Stanley 16' Tape rulerGeneric 12" HammerGeneric 10" Mallot I am looking to buy some other tools but I was wondering if anyone had any ideas that might be some good tools to put in there. I am also getting a roll of duck and electrical tape to put in there.

Are housewarming parties reserved for new home owners and not renters ?
We've recently moved from a crappier side of town to a better, safer, more refined neighborhood. We shed all our old belongings in an effort to walk away from the old life. Now our family has less furniture, bedding, towels & kitchenware. Is it okay to have a party & request register for what we need ?

What do we need to get as new home owners?
ex. lawn mowers, shower heads, etc. i need some ideas so i dont need to go to home depto all the time

My circuit breaker is not labeled and we are new home owners...?
is there a way to tell which switch is which without trying out every switch? If not, is it safe to test every switch I don't want to reset or disrupt anything important. Thanks

New home owner, miller furnace not firing:?
We have oil in the tank, you can smell fuel in the firebox, the motor starts when you set the temp and push the set button. it has a newer Beckett motor " AF 15" model. any suggestion to prime and get fire, 1. suggestion was made to drop a match another was made to bleed the lines, it is fed from the top of the tank with a second line.

New home owner with a question about my firplace....?
What can I use to cover my fireplace to keep out the cold air? I am not ready to use my fireplace I have toddlers . I see all those fancy fireplace covers, but I need something to block out cold air completely. Any ideas or a website to visit?

Please help a new home owner! How to clean a boiler?
I have Pennco Cast Iron Boiler 16 Series 1605HSD . I m reading the manual on how to clean the boiler but I can t understand because it is too technical. I have attached the picture of my boiler in the following link. Can somebody please help me identify the following parts from the pictures? I ve labeled A, B, C, etc. .1. The skimmer tapping and pipe2.The float chamber3.What s float type low water cut offs? I am a new home owner Livin' the dream I have a one car garage now with wood siding and an aweful roof...the entire thing needs to be torn down If I know this 1 car garage down and build a 2 2 1 2 car garage, how much is that going to run me about?
