He has diabetes, c.o.p.d. and congested heart failure. there is alot of things that he cant do. we need more income. is there help out there?

Getting retirement would depend on where he worked and what type retirement plan he has. Some retirement plans allow you to draw your retirement if you are disabled and the government will not penalize you for early withdrawal. Usually not a problem if he is drawing off his own SS, different story if he is drawing off of yours. GoodLuck

If he cannot work, and a doctor verifies that, he can retire on Social Security disability retirement. If he quit work, the application to Social Security must occur within six weeks.

He can apply for social security disability. My best advise to you is get a social security attorney. They will not charge anything unless he is approved for social security. It usually takes about 18 months to get approved. Tons and tons of paper work and doctor's statement. Your attorney will take care of the paperwork. Good luck.
